How to: Embed information in a document.
Solution:
Click in the document where you want to embed the data, and select 'Object...' from the 'Insert' menu. Create the data, and exit the object application.
NOTE: These menus and commands may vary depending on the application being used.
1) Click where you want to embed the data.
2) Select the 'Insert' menu and select 'Object...' (in some applications, select 'Insert Object'). (The 'Insert Object' dialog box appears.)
NOTE: If 'Insert Object' or 'Object' does not exist on the 'Insert' or 'Edit' menu, either the application does not support embedding or it uses a non-standard command to initiate embedding.
3) Select the type of object from the 'Object type' list box.
4) Do one of the following:
a) To create a new object, click the 'Create New' tab.
NOTE: If there is no 'Create New' tab but there is a 'Create New' radio button, then select the radio button instead.
b) To use an existing object, click the 'Create from File' tab, and click 'Browse...' to locate the object.
NOTE: If there is no 'Create from File' tab but there is a 'Create from File' radio button, then select the radio button instead.
5) Click 'OK'.
6) Specify the object to be embedded, and follow the requirements of the object application.
7) To return to the application where you embedded the data, click outside the object box.
